Gainsbourg: “The racketting from the IRS, that’s what I’m going to show you. This is not a metaphor, this is physics. Going to take a 500 franc bill. I’m taxed at 74%, OK? I’m going to tell you what i have left. I know this is illegal, what i’m about to do, but i’ll do it. I don’t give a damn if they lock me up, i’ll be on a diet. OK i’m going to tell you what’s left for me. I’ll stop at 74%. Because this money doesn’t go to the poor, ok, it’s for the nuclear, the…”Journalist: “Do you know that you’re irritating a lot of people by doing this?”Gainsbourg: “Oh please, it’s my money, i don’t give a damn. Here what is left from the 500. That’s what i got left.”

The past few weeks have been a lot of fun, even without heat, hot water or a real bed. There are so many pics that I'm having a hard time deciding which to actually
put up. So, instead of laying out what feels like a whole month in one post, I'll just post pictures of the loft on Knickerbocker.
These are all photos I found online.

This photo looks old but the car, the kid's attire and the style of the bike make me think it could have been anytime between 94 and 2008. I like how all of the windows are a different style. I don't know how much I would like that now, but I like it in the picture.

Somewhat the same angle as the first photo, but you get view of the cement place across from us and the huge wall of graf off Knickerbocker and Harrison Place.

I had come across this picture before moving to New York. Little did I know, in a few months I would be living in the building on the left. This was taken from the corner of Knickerbocker and Thames.
So yea, I'm loving the new place and the new neighborhood. I can only imagine what it will be like with heat and in a few months.
